Wednesday night for hundreds of people
means a trip to Beloit Auction Service at 534 West Grand, Beloit,
Wisconsin for its weekly sale. This well-established business
prides itself on efficient, honest, and enjoyable auction services.

“We’re a family-run business,” said Richard Ranft, chief auctioneer
and president of the company. He and his wife Patricia have worked alongside
each other for 25 years.
Their staff of 14 full and part-time
employees provides a full range of auction services for Beloit Auction and
its sister company, Beloit Auction & Realty,
Inc. Rich - who holds both his CAI and GPPA designations - also offers
his professional appraisal services and works as a licensed Real Estate broker.
“We sell Real Estate only at auction because it really works. Auctions
create excitement. And excitement creates house sales,” he said. “Whatever part of our services we’re working on, we make it easy
for our clients and customers by being professional and knowledgeable.”
New services at Beloit Auction include live Internet bidding through ProxiBid.com. “You
can bid from Beloit or Timbuktu,” Rich said. “It’s a powerful thing to be able to bring the world to Beloit even
while maintaining our solid Midwestern standards,” Rich said.

Beloit Auction continues to host its weekly auctions, with previews all day
Tuesday and Wednesday. Antiques & collectibles auctions take place on the last Wednesday
of each month. Specialty auctions - coins or model airplanes, for example - are
also held throughout the year. The Beloit Auction & Realty team holds
open houses on Sunday afternoons, and Real Estate auctions on Saturdays.
